Beulah Baptist in February 2007 began a global missions emphasis in West Africa, with a team of four heading to Mali in what would be the first of five trips that year. The church has now been more than 23 times and is planning more for the future.
The church’s goal in West Africa is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to plant churches. We have partnered with the International Mission Board to reach the Bambara people group. They are 4 million in number, with less than .001% Christian.
Team members spend the bulk of their time in bush villages in Mali. In June 2007 construction was finished on a 12 by12 mud hut where our mission teams set up their base of operation while there.
